Experienced Bankruptcy Attorney Jason Watson Joins Womble Carlyle

ATLANTA—Womble Carlyle is proud to announce that bankruptcy attorney Jason Watson has joined the firm as a partner in the Atlanta office. Watson has more than 15 years of experience representing secured lenders and special servicers in large scale bankruptcy matters including pre-bankruptcy workouts, Chapter 11 cases, and litigation. He also regularly advises a range of clients – including food franchisors, real estate industry entities, and manufacturing and telecommunications companies – in bankruptcy acquisitions.

Watson joins Womble Carlyle from Alston & Bird where he chaired the firm’s Bankruptcy, Workouts & Reorganization Group. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, a member of the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute, and a member of American Bankruptcy Institute. He is also a frequent featured speaker on bankruptcy topics and has authored a variety of writings on the subject, including co-authoring the Bankruptcy Litigation Manual (2013-2014).

Watson earned his law degree at Mercer University and his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia.
